Literature Text

Rain poured down on the cracked grey headstone. Alone stood a girl dripping black lace and cloth along with a few lonesome tears.

Dianne: My love, twas not a noble love we shared but alas, it was love. (she crouched on the ground and picked the dead flowers that lay there)

The thunder clapped and tree branches moaned from the force of the wind.

Dianne: you told me it was wiser to love a poison than it was to love you. (Stroking the grave) But what you never understood was that I longed for your touch more than my next breath. Even now in the midst of your demise I know I will never love again. We we're broken, no, we were two shattered hearts that made the attempt of putting each other back together again. We may have parted ways, we may have even harmed each other more than caused joy. Your love for me died long before you did; but mine for you still burns.

The hooves of horses could be heard now galloping across the cobble stone path. Atop it rode a man of obvious nobility.

Alexander: My lady, you should not be out in this wretched cold.
Dianne: I know not if you speak of the weather or of the emptiness within me my lord.
Alexander: (climbed off his horse and stood beside the girl.) We were once good friends were we not?
Dianne: (paused then nodded her head gently)
Alexander: (lifted her chin gently) which is why I hate to see you like this.
Dianne: (slapped his hand away) You know not what I have felt, the heart ache is unbearable! I can't take it anymore! (she unsheathed his dagger and took it into her hands)
Alexander: Dianne, no!
Dianne: (Plunged the knife into her chest and wept crimson)
Alexander: (Caught her in his arms)
Dianne: (Life slipped away and a sad smile escaped her lips as it did so.)
Alexander: (Tears formed in his eyes) I never got to tell you that I loved you though.
I'm kind of a Shakespeare wanna be so brace your selves!
